1: change the font into something a little more eye-catching. There are many free use fonts on the internet (think Dafont)
2: the picture of the duck in the side is kind of blurry and doesn't blend well with the solid background colour, it looks more like it happened to pass near the banner and is wondering what the fuck it is doing there.
I suggest a more high quality photo, possibly slightly larger, and a different background. The choice of purple as a colour is cool, anyway.

That's all i can think of for now, and it's just my opinion, of course. :)
