How about some kind of counter that keeps track of how many unique ips viewed/click an image. it may give people something to discuss and could be a source of entertainment/drama.

have you guys seen the new 420chan? The software, whatever they're using, is pretty nice. As an example, .gif thumbnails animate, and the website just has more eyecandy in general. I was wondering if we could update our software, at least to animate gifs... This website looks like it's from the 90s...

What are the odds that I could be...unbanned? Don't get me wrong. I honor and respect your community and the eternal wisdom and unlimited power of it's administrators/moderators (who have been so kind as to provide us with this wonderful forum). But I can't help but feel that an error has been made.

If you believe everything Wikipedia says (and I absolutely do), then a troll is defined as someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response.

Having been banned for trolling on /boku/ I intend to set out to judge the accuracy of said claim against this operating definition of a "troll". I believe we can reasonably agree that my postings were neither extraneous or off-topic. This leaves only "inflammatory", with the intention of provoking an emotional response.

I grant that being a forum for people who like Boku, some of my more articulate and poetic insults may have communicated my distaste for Souseiseki with more emphasis than was really necessary to make my point. And while I would still like the record to show that I think she's a poopy-head, perhaps I should have taken the delicate sensitivities of the forum users into greater account. I know how disrupting reading mean things on the internet can be. This one time I read that heavy rains interfered with the second flush pick of Darjeeling and I punched somebody's parrot an hour later. It was an ugly parrot anyways.

Don't know if this is just me, or if it's a problem with the site, but whenever I try to edit a post that has moon runes in it, the moon runes turn into weird jibberish.

For example, the Index thread on /tr/: there's one thread labeled as ベルダーシュ～僕と私の逃避行～. However, when I actually hit the edit link to add more stuff, that particular bit of text turns into ベルダーシュ～僕と私の逃避行～. Needless to say, a bit irritating, not to mention how difficult the problem makes it to implement my plan of having Pixiv tags in there.

Pic mostly unrelated, but it has moon runes on it.

As you may know, dx and I have done work on an new software named Wakarimasen, which is essentially an improved, Python-based Futaba-style imageboard similar we have right now on the front-end. However, I am interested in what post formatting language you guys would like to see. I have designed a simple system for converting a defined user input into HTML output and vice-versa, but I'm interested in your preferences and experiences to decide which formatting language to implement. Here are what I am currently considering:

• Wakabamark, the current system
• a subset of BBCode, which has very mixed reception among people
• a subset of HTML
• a subset of Markdown
• Wiki-style syntax

A WYSIWYG formatter will not be likely unless widely requested.

If there is a particularly good comment formatting language you prefer, by all means share. Note that if my new system works well enough, it could very well support a user-selected formatting. Thank you for your time.
