Currently this is my battlestation.

  1. A desktop that is a real desktop, not one of those limited gimped mini desktop.
  2. A three-year old laptop that is currently unused for now but I want to use it for secondary purposes and stuff like for DVD viewing and shit.
  3. A 2.1. sound system
  4. A simple headphone with mic.

But I want to add the following for my perfect battlestation:

  1. Two other monitors. I have one other monitor, which is a 720p 16:10 HDTV/DVD player combo in storage and want to buy another 16:9 monitor as well. Also I want to add two vertical monitors for texts such as magazines and digital books and irc conversations/windows.
  2. Hook up my modern video game consoles (PS2, Xbox 360) to my battlestation
  3. Possibly another external hard drive for all my stored anime, music, and recorded TV shows, and have my current hard drive I have to be used as a static archive/recovery hard drive, and get a new external hard drive for my current content.
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

No. Video cards use PCI-E slots, everything else uses PCI slots. Big difference. Only ultra high-end mobos come with 4 PCI-e slots. Your motherboard's got 1 PCI-e slot at most.

>> No.2222   [Delete]   [Edit]

If you're REALLY concerned about PCI slots, keep in mind the bandwidth of the slot. Lots of motherboards have multiple PCI-E slots, but generally have only 1 (maybe 2?) 16x slot. Most have 2-3 other 8x slots, which may limit the performance of ultra-high end cards in SLI/Crossfire mode. Running SLI or Crossfire with a 4x connection on one of the cards probably won't be very pleasant.

Yet another Road Runner user here. My download speed (10 megabits) isn't so bad, but yeah, we all seem to have the same fucking 512 kilobit upload rate.

I'm not joking, I've had this same conversation with 5 different people IRL, and have overheard people talking about "Roadrunner's shitty upstream bandwidth" countless more times. It's ridiculous.

Do the desuchanners have any recommendations for ripping game CGs? I read about Susie, but... the program and plugins for it haven't been updated for nearly over a decade, so it seems out-of-date and unable to handle modern encryption methods.

Preferably something that can extract event CGs (durrr), but also character stands as .pngs with transparent backgrounds (I hate it when rippers include character stands are .bmp/.jpg/etc, because then there's all that crap around the character).

What's with all the wheels and extra strings on the bow?

2 posts and 1 images omitted. Click Reply to view.
>> No.1486   [Delete]   [Edit]

It's called a compound bow, they're incredibly efficient things. Personally I'd just stick with a recurve, it's not really archery if you've got half a meccano set hanging off of your arm.

If standing in front of a loaded gun with the hammer cocked would make you feel uneasy, shouldn't a bow?

Yeah these are pretty awesome.

But hard to come by, easily damaged and unless you've got a workshop- difficult to make.

Sort of off-topic here abit but bear with me. Bundle bows are the way to go, just gather a bunch of sticks or bamboo garden canes, tie em together and rock out with your cock out. Faster and more reliable than making a bow from a single piece of wood.
