so I bought a 30 gb SDD drive some time ago to try this fancy pancy stuff out which I used to install vista ultimate x64 on.
big mistake, as I constanty have to manage the only 1 gb remainging free space. (fucking everything wants to be put on your c drive god dammit)

now I downloaded windows 7. will it fit on 30 gbs with at least a little free space to play around in? maybe gasp have my virtual memory on the same drive?

That should be enough space.

Well, if you don't feel like putting much on it, then fine. You won't even be able to fit that many games on it. I suggest you go get an Intel X-25M or a Crucial RealSSD 300 instead. The former is 160 GB, the latter is 250 GB. Both have very good performance, the latter is faster overall but the former is better in different in some areas and is cheaper too. You might as well sell/ditch the old one and upgrade. Windows 7 should handle the SSD better than Vista too.

Here's a link to a recent SSD roundup: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/windows-7-ssd-trim,2705.html
