All the human characters we see are magic users, and we know from Buffy the Vampire Slayer that lesbians do magic. Thus we can conclude that human males and non-lesbian females exist in Gensokyo, but do not participate in Danmakku-related incidents.

If ZUN is ever going to say anything conclusive about the sexuality of the girls in Gensokyo, then he's just going to say that they're all bisexual.

This. Also not shown but mentioned in the guide bokk for Mountain of Faith is Tenma, the Lord of the Tengu. The series just focuses on the ladies, that's all.

I could see Reimu as a straight-as-an-arrow type, disgusted at the perversion of youkai and the humans that consort with them. Also i think that Mystia Lorelei has a high chance of being straight or bi, she is pretty much a siren, luring humans into the woods and scaring them with her singing. Since men are more likely to fall for this I would think she would more likely go after men if she decided to use her powers to find herself a mate.

But as shown in >>5499 there's normal human males in the human village, too.
So all in all, the three male characters referenced before were probably Youki, Rinnosuke, and Ichirin.

Are you entirely sure the usual Western definitions of "gay" and "straight" exist in Gensokyo? Most of them might not really care about their partners' genders, that sort of thing being of variable importance in different cultures throughout history, though there are very few competent humanoid males in Gensokyo (Unzan is competent but he's a cloud, and we've never actually seen Youki Konpaku, the only other mentioned male with a real chance at battle or danmaku competence in the Windows era) which leads to a far higher prevalence of female/female relationships than in our world. After all, who wants to live with an incompetent load? Not me.

Well I believe why homosexuality is looked down upon is because of the social expectation for one to find a mate produce offspring. This, of course, comes from our natural urge to repopulate our species.

However, Gensokyo has the distinction of having a population of beings that generally lives very long lives and also they reside in a closed area of limited space and resources. Due to this I assume that the overall societal pressure for someone to find a partner of the opposite sex and have children to be some what more relaxed.
With the expectation to have a lover of the opposite sex not as strong as in the outer world, Gensokyonites would be more open to explore their homosexual feelings.

BAD END 10 of IN mentions something about Alice sleeping besides Marisa.
