Try Mawaru Penguindrum or Shoujo Kakumei Utena.
Plenty of feels is guaranteed in the end of both titles.

Do you have to have seen Fate/stay night to enjoy this show? I haven't watched/read/played it yet.

>>20302
You should have read F/SN, up to and including HF (don't even think about watching it, especially since the anime doesn't cover the relevant spoilers IIRC). It's not really necessary to understand Prisma, since Prisma is in its own parallel universe, but Prisma is targeted at readers/viewers who know a few not-quite-obvious facts about Ilya and her history, and a lot of the interesting bits about Prisma are contrasting differences between that parallel universe and F/SN.

I'm hoping you guys can help...

I saw a clip of an anime and I really would like to know what it is....

The clip shows first a young woman in a red armor top, form fitting with brown shorts and a wicked dagger, she has white short hair in a loose ponytail, she flicks her ponytail, looks across stone pillar outdoor area at other young lady who has dark hair, short, with a white bikini top and 2 gold semi autos, dark haired girl starts shooting...white haire girl is running at her, bullets are kinda anime 3d as they pass, white haired girl gets to dark hair and they both end up with dagger/gun at each others head...

Any help would be appreciated.

Amiami, Nippon-Yasan, CDJapan, Amazon.co.jp, Yahoo Auctions

>Crunchyroll, Amazon, and eBay

Step it up, senpai.

>> No.20272   [Delete]   [Edit]

I hardly ever buy any stuff and everytime I get it from different places.

Last time when I was making a bigger order I bought stuff on CDJapan and it was fine.
I ordered an artbook on ebay once and it also was okay.
I bought Rozen Maiden anime DVD on Amazon and I swear, if only they had better payment options (afaik they don't allow paypal) I would place my orders there regularly.

>> No.20283   [Delete]   [Edit]

I don't buy much and it's just some manga and CDs so I normally go the easy route and snag things off Amazon.co.jp for exorbitant shipping prices.

I'd like to know how to use yahoo auctions but it always looks so scary.

Most of us baka gaijin use some sort of proxy/forwarding service like Shopping Mall Japan or Tenso.

Neon Genesis Evangelion was incredible even without the EVA unit's, It was psychologically profound. If you gather the hidden subtext within NGE and piece everything together, The whole cast of characters were, in a way, clones within clones.

In actuality the characters were under going an intense psychological
catastrophe, due to Shinji Ikari's sub-conscious afflicting society's conscious mind.

Shinji's actions, along with the rest of humanity's actions created a form of psychosis
that built up to form the next universe. Ultimately creating alternate versions of themselves for the next universe to reuse. Plus..
Deep down.. Shinji used to be a lot like Asuka and Asuka used to be a lot like Shinji.

PS: Every character should have been a trap.

Obviously.

>> No.19266   [Delete]   [Edit]

The last time I watched NGE, it was the best ever study of our society. Especially work is really well depicted. It gives everyone some sort of meaning to their lives, especially since all meaning outside of it has been drained. This doesn't go for Kenji or Touji, they have remained children. Rei, Shinji and Asuka pilot because that is all the context they have. When Touji is made to pilot, he does it only for his sister - an outsider. I think this makes him very different.

I guess from the point of view of a more people-oriented person the need for meaning can seem like a need for acceptance, and vice versa. This makes me think they might be the same thing. The meaning we seek is a social construct (maybe).

Also, what's AP mean by saying everyone should have been a trap? Like, should Touji and Kaji have tried to pass as girls or shlould they just have been girls passing as boys? Touji in a skirt would have made the series even weirder than it already is.

That's not Shinji, it's a pallete-swapped Asuka.
