Aaand here it is. This one really took a long time.

I'll release a Tale 39 TL soon, as all I'll be doing is comparing the existing one to the RAWs to ensure nothing got lost since it went through three languages.

I'll also be posting a TL of the chapter of Doll's Talk that we have super-soon (Like, today or tomorrow), since it really won't take long to do.

I'm curious ... you mentioned the chapt of "Doll's Talk" ... is that the single chapter story "Girl's Talk" ? ... or a chapt of the spin-off story "Doll's Talk" that has been getting published in Ribon magazine ?

I ask because when the two were discussed in here a while back, I myself got confused as to which was being talked about

I have been getting Ribon magazine from Japan to get the Doll's Talk series, and so far I have it complete (Jan 2012-Sept 2012 issues) ... as soon as I get a scanner I can start doing scans of it
if you are interested I can send you copies of the scans ... (just let me know any settings, such as dpi, that you need)

If you could scan them that would be amazing, thank you! Any size and dpi are fine, just so long as it's a bit bigger than the scans I'm working on right now.

Speaking of which, squinting at the tiny text has given me a headache so I'll be waiting 'till tomorrow to finish it.

Speaking of "Girls Talk", do raws of this chapter even exist? All I've seen on the Internet so far is a Chinese translation.

Even for the lulz that's bad idea, you know. Leaving aside that this shall be a pain in the ass, naturally, church Slavonic isn't beautiful or harmonious - it's just a weird mixture of a Greek and old Russian languages, only usable for obsolete prayers. You better try to translate RM into Ukrainian - that will be epic.

Nah, it's going to be Church Slavonic. First of all, it has to be a dead language. I have a thing for dead languages. (Clerics would disagree that Church Slavonic is a dead language, though).
Unlike, I believe, Ukrainian it has all that archaic grammar like aorist, dual number, obsolete cases and so on. Also all those fancy diacritics. In fact, I'd pick Old Slavonic if not for the irregular use of diacritics.

But yeah, I'm going to have to get around to actually learning it for that to happen.
Also, I think there is already an opening of Rozen Maiden anime in Ukrainian. Anyway Ukrainian is nice, but if I'm going to learn another one of the modern Slavic languages my first pick is probably going to be Bulgarian.

Anyway, I believe, other than the clergy, some laymen study Church Slavonic too. Although, I suspect, most of them have a terminal stage of orthodoxy of cerebrum.
What I always found peculiar about church service in Church Slavonic or Latin or other dead languages is that it seems that people just stand there having no idea, what the priest is going on about.
