EDIT: Never mind, looked a little closer and that's not Boku's master at the church (stupid me). And, well, some of the text gave Megu's fate away.

For that matter, I still don't understand this line.

>鳥かごの中のゆめ

I don't get this shit. They're saying stuff like "everything was a dream" and "it's all an illusion" and I have no fucking idea what they're talking about.

Since it seems like she was in a coffin on that last page, it seems like she gave the Rosa Mystica back to her sisters, but I guess doing that caused her to die for some reason.

Standard procedure for Peach-Pit. They have literally never written a good ending ever. I remember how rage-inducing Shugo Chara's ending was. Case and point, pic related is your default expression when you're on the last page of a Peach-Pit manga.

Like, what the fuck was with that shot of Shinku on the last page?

>> No.4021   [Delete]   [Edit]

The ending is actually not bad because characters I don't really care for are dead/semi dead and characters I like are alive.. Most of the explanations are written instead of drawn, so, yeah.

Off the top of my head, the only people that died were Toriumi and Megu (if those flowers at the church were any indication). Did anyone else not make it? Also, where are the raws? It's so easy to find Chinese scans for manga but it's a pain in the ass for actual raws even though you need raws in the first place to get Chinese scans. Like, I've had no luck finding raws for Kingyozaka Noboru but just googling the Chinese name gives me scans.

The Chinese scanslators had their own sources (probably scanned them themselves). The site we usually get it from is inferior in quality and hasn't uploaded 66 yet.

This is what I can make out with my shitty moon skills.

All the dolls are revived.
For some reason, Shinku stays dead.
All the dolls say goodbye to their masters for now and follow Jun to the N-Field on a quest to remake (or revive, I don't know) Shinku.
I think Megu is dead, though she does say >好きよパパ, which kind of goes against the 'Megu a shit" impression from the most recently scanlated chapters.

All in all, it's your standard Peach-Pit "nothing fucking makes sense" ending.

Megu dying totally shits over the foreshadowing and statements made by other characters in previous chapters where they state only Jun can save Megu because he is the only one who can understand her.

Hell, even Tomoe was saying only Jun can save Megu when she was in the N-Field with Unwound Jun and Hina after the topic was centered around Megu.

So my question is, how the fuck does Megu actually dying save her in any way when any manga reader who has been keeping up with this manga for years would realize by now that Megu's belief that death would ease her pain and suffering is actually a misguided belief that she has and her death isn't the answer to what she is truly seeking?

Seriously, what the fuck.

Peach Pit for the past years have been saying to the readers that Megu is wrong and then in this final chapter, Peach Pit just let Megu die because her wish to die turns out to be not wrong at all despite the authors driving it into the reader by proxy of Tomoe and flashbacks involving Jun and Megu that Megu's obsession with the idea of death being a permanent cure for her "sickness" is mistaken, misguided, and plain misconceived on her part.

Did Peach Pit just kill Megu because they decided to abandon the Megu x Jun ship they had been setting up for quite a while, at the very last minute? And don't you guys act like this wasn't a thing. The manga wasn't subtle at all about erecting the Megu x Jun ship and even Tomoe who has a crush on Jun says aloud that only Jun may be able to understand and save Megu.

>> No.4035   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>4034

Because, in the end, the Megu x Jun ship was completely and utterly destroyed in Tale 63 in favor of Megu x Suigintou. Considering Megu's body was housing Kira, Suigintou didn't really have a choice in the matter. By the end of the manga, I think(?) she realized that it was her love for Suigintou that eased her suffering, not her wish for death.

>> No.4036   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>4035
But a Megu x Jun ship would have actually saved her life due to MC plot armor.

With that ship sunk, no chance for Megu to remain alive and don't tell me you actually prefer Megu to stay dead and rotting instead of alive and paired up with Jun and Junk still having a Master that is alive just like the rest of her sisters.

Also, since such a pairing won't contradict the fact that history repeats itself, both past and present, meaning that just like Father, Jun will also have a daughter with someone (in this case, Megu) who eventually dies and therefore, sets Jun on the path to making Rozen or Jun Maidens in this case, from scratch, to somehow bring back his dead daughter.

Sometime tells me that if Jump had not asked Rozen Maiden so suddenly and they were allowed to end the manga in their original schedule, the Megu x Jun ship would not have been sunk and would have held steady because face it, the last 3 chapters of this manga just shat on all the years of buildup Peach Pit had done for this story and Jump forcing Peach Pit to shit out like 2 chapters in one month and then the last chapter this month shows that they are not letting Peach Pit end Rozen Maiden gracefully as they wanted.

Prior to Jump being douchebags, the manga had wonderful pacing and I was looking forward to that Fake Father wannabe who is Jun's classmate getting his ass kicked but Peach Pit just makes him anticlimactically kick the bucket in one panel because they were rushed for an ending.

Also, there are still so many unanswered questions and plot points like Jun's parents who are always away and continually send him antiques which was part of my theory that Jun's parents were looking all over the world for Rozen's mementos or household belongings so Jun could recreate Rozen's workshop in his very own house but so much for that theory.

Not only that but if Desu and Boku still want to fuck Jun despite the revelation that Jun is actually their Father and if they still want to fuck, then should this manga and its doujins be tagged as incest?

>But a Megu x Jun ship would have actually saved her life due to MC plot armor.

That's highly doubtful. Megu had her entire chest blown open by Suigintou. I doubt even Rozen could have saved her from a wound like that. Again, Suigintou had no choice here. She had to kill Megu (well, it was more like Megu sacrificed herself. I think) at that moment because she was on the verge of dying herself from being impaled. Kirakishou didn't exactly want to exit the body herself.

>With that ship sunk, no chance for Megu to remain alive and don't tell me you actually prefer Megu to stay dead and rotting instead of alive and paired up with Jun and Junk still having a Master that is alive just like the rest of her sisters.

I actually think it sort of fits. Suigintou has always been the one to suffer the most yet keeps up a strong face, and the whole point of her experiences with Megu was to teach her how to love other people.

That history repeats itself would be terrible because the whole point is that Jun and Rozen are different. Jun learned to love again from the Rozen Maidens while Rozen got obsessed with his work.

Megu is as close to a lesbian as you can get. She hates men, got all touchy-feely with Tomoe, and declared her love for Suigintou while jamming a crystal inside her.

>Prior to Jump being douchebags, the manga had wonderful pacing and I was looking forward to that Fake Father wannabe who is Jun's classmate getting his ass kicked but Peach Pit just makes him anticlimactically kick the bucket in one panel because they were rushed for an ending.

Oh come on, Toriumi's death was absolutely hilarious and fitting. Let's put it this way. This is a guy who believes that he is the successor to Rozen and on the path to surpass him. Then, in Tale 64, he finds out that he was actually created by Kirakishou as a Father replacement. Then, he gets told by the real Father and promptly vanishes into butterflies. The irony of the creator actually being created (by a doll, nonetheless) was fitting for someone as pathetic as he was.

As for the pacing, I was the one who complained in earlier threads that it was too rushed and Suigintou's and Shinku's characters were destroyed, but looking back and putting some thought into it, it makes sense. Suigintou realized the truth about the Alice Game and her love for her sisters, so she entrusted the RMs to Shinku since she can't move from the crystal impaled in her. Shinku's motivation has always been to create Alice, and the only reason she did the "I won't sacrifice anyone" thing was because she wasn't sure how to become Alice. Once she found out, she abandoned that idea and did what she did at the end of Tale 64. I guess what's unique about Shinku is that she only cares about Alice's creation, not whoever actually wins the Alice Game, so it doesn't necessarily have to be her that becomes Alice. Tale 64 and 65 had quite a few touching moments, so I actually really liked them, but then Tale 66 was where they really dropped the ball. Fucking Peach-Pit.

I too was disappointed, but I always thought Jun's parents were a red herring. I'm more sad that Unwound Jun didn't do much (well, he mended his relationship with Kirakishou, which was the main reason he was brought back, I guess). I'm more pissed about Shinku's death in the last chapter, it was completely and utterly pointless.

>Not only that but if Desu and Boku still want to fuck Jun despite the revelation that Jun is actually their Father and if they still want to fuck, then should this manga and its doujins be tagged as incest?

Yes.

You know, I think it could have been much worse, considering how PeachPit's endings usually are.

In all honesty, I don't think it would have been possible to end it in a way that could satisfy most people. The manga went on for almost 12 years. Expectations ended up getting built so high during that time that nothing could have been good enough. I'm glad with what we got, though. It's nice to see Kira get a happy ending, too.

>> No.4041   [Delete]   [Edit]

Yeah, except they killed best doll. I will never forgive Peach-Pit for that. It wasn't even a conclusive death since the last page was everyone setting out to revive best doll. Now the manga has ended without a proper conclusion when Tale 65 was the perfect setup for one.

So people everywhere are saying stuff like "Jun is Father" so I just wanted to correct some stuff.

Quote in picture:それは私には出来ない。。。もう形而上の存在でしかない私には

Rough Translation:I can't do that...I only exist in a metaphysical state now...

So basically, Father goes into Jun's body to do his stuff and that's why you see Jun in those fabulous clothes in the later chapters. Jun isn't Father in that he's a reincarnation or anything.

>> No.4169   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>4168
I'm pretty sure the "Jun is Father" stuff stemmed from the manga ending where Jun now apparently inherits Rozen's powers and the custody for all of the dolls.

But still, the idea of "Jun is Father IN THE FIRST PLACE" is still contested, partly because of the ambiguous hints (or red herrings) scattered throughout the manga.
