A new Rozen Maiden manga, titled "Rozen Maiden 0," will begin serialization February 19th, 2016 in Ultra Jump!

putting what you have on mangadex would be a good idea in order to get more feedback. That place gets much more traffic than here.

>> No.4657   [Delete]   [Edit]

I understand what you are saying ... and if any of the RM0 project people want to do that, I dont mind
... it is why I mentioned in the thread I started that I would not mind if anyone copied those files over to nyaa
... I dont have an uploader account with nyaa, and I dont have any sort of account at mangadex

>> No.4658   [Delete]   [Edit]

Looking forward to you guys catching up on the manga. My usual methods for getting the raws are dried up so anything past Floor 16 in any version (raw or translated) will be very welcome.

I'm new to getting Kindle raws but I didn't see any uploads for Floor 17 online so I just bought last month's Ultra Jump for them. Not sure if anyone wants but anyway.

>> No.4660   [Delete]   [Edit]

thank you for the raws

I suspect that is the only way anyone will get the raws since the series went on hiatus ... there are not enough ch's for a third vol, so I kind of doubt that there will be a tankoubon v03

>> No.4661   [Delete]   [Edit]

Actually there's a new chapter out in the next Ultra Jump this month (which I will get and upload as soon as possible). As far as the volume releases go we should actually see an announcement soon for the third because every volume so far has had 6 chapters in it and this next chapter is the 18th overall.

>> No.4662   [Delete]   [Edit]

that's cool :-)

I'll start keeping an eye out on nyaa ... with a bit of luck it wont be too many months until tank vol 3 is out ... as soon as I see it on nyaa I can grab it and post a note about it in here

floor 13's translation

apologies ahead of time on the quality of the scans, it was questioned on whether it was worth presenting, or to wait for some higher quality, however it was felt as important to present anyway, and hopefully in the future obtain better producing scans of our own.

once again all feedback and critique is encouraged.

>> No.4664   [Delete]   [Edit]

thank you :-)

dont worry too much about the quality of the scans ... that has been a continuing problem with almost the entire RM story ... there were plenty of ch's of earlier story arcs that did not have very good scan quality
... we appreciate the translation efforts

floor 14's translation, hail satan.

>> No.4667   [Delete]   [Edit]

thank you :-)

ROFL @ the "hail satan"

though in truth ... the Rozen Maiden story does have some very serious religious themes as part of the story ... Laplace is pretty much the same as "the adversary" ... that interfered with the Garden of Eden and got the humans expelled

though it would take a much deeper discussion to go into the specifics of how the RM story actually does go into some very deep religious ideas

Here are actual Kindle rips this time. I've found out how to get them so future releases will also be this quality.

Volume 3 is also out today and I highly recommend buying it to support the series.

Of note, next month is a hiatus for RM0. Hopefully we'll see it back the month after.

Is the translation team still working on RM0??

yes, the translation is ongoing, however we are learning to use kindle raws for better quality, things have been slow as far as progress is concerned however don't let that concern you, work is still being discussed, and as far as we, figure out to extract the kindle raws we can get back on track.
I have purchased the kindles for ultrajump to cover floors 15-16, however they requre a vpn, which is not much of a problem, the main issue of reading it seems to be only site based, and there is a method to extracting them, which our typesetter is looking over and hopefully can yield some results and finally get caught up with the hiatus.
its too late.

We got a short hiatus thankfully, RM0 resumes in next month's issue releasing on the 19th of December. Floor 21 next month!

I don't check this site as often as I should but here's the long explanation of what to do after buying the magazines.

what you need to do is get the Kindle application on your computer, log into your Amazon JP account, and download the magazines. Then download Calibre and install the DRM tools add-on (at https://github.com/apprenticeharper/DeDRM_tools/releases/tag/v6.6.1).
You might need to restart Calibre for the DRM tools to work. So now import the magazines from where the Kindle application downloaded them to and now you can open them up in Calibre's reader which is what you want since you can select a Copy Image option on the pages and paste into any image program (I just use the basic Paint program). Make sure to save the images in a lossless file format, png should work fine for that.

Wow, really? As I recall, volume 2 had those out fairly soon after it released.

>> No.4677   [Delete]   [Edit]

  • >>4674 ... Wow, really? As I recall, volume 2 had those out fairly soon after it released.

yeah, I am a bit surprised about it myself ... you are correct, it didnt tale very long at all after vol 2 was released before they were on nyaa and the other torrent sites
... I checked again yesterday, and still nothing ... all they have is vol 1 & 2

>> No.4678   [Delete]   [Edit]

Well I checked Nyaa myself to see for myself. Wow, still nobody has it available. It's a little concerning that maybe even overseas interest in RM0 has decreased as also volume 3 did not make it onto bestselling manga list in Japan whereas volume 2 did. It's worrisome, but hopefully just a temporary dip in interest. Probably didn't help that the volume was released without too much fanfare and that it had been over a year since the last volume, darn hiatuses.

>> No.4679   [Delete]   [Edit]

yeah ... Peach Pit has been having some pretty big problems with this series, yep those hiatuses ... it's almost like Peach Pit itself doesnt really have much interest in their own series ... and yeah the readers would pick up on that and lose interest
... sadly, to be honest, it would not surprise me if either Peach Pit or the publisher drops RM Zero, because it has lost a lot of its popularity

>> No.4684   [Delete]   [Edit]

There's a lot of little hiatuses they have every so often but the worst of it was the couple of 3 month long hiatuses they took to publish a few new manga series. One the topic of Peach-Pit's interest with the series, I did think that maybe Peach-Pit's interest in this manga was going to be low when it was first announced (I had initially thought RM0 to be a cash grab) but after an interview they did in late 2016 where they mentioned that the idea for this manga had been created while they were doing the previous manga this preconceived notion I had lessened.

I think Peach-Pit is invested in RM0, they just made some bad decisions with keeping continued interest. Really, it's the hiatuses that kill interest and now that RM0 is once again their only currently running manga I don't think hiatuses will come around as much. Keep in mind, they kept a steady release going for 4 months straight after the last hiatus taken to make a new manga earlier this year so I'm hopeful that this kind of steady release schedule will continue onward and with any luck hiatuses will become less frequent.

I doubt they or the publisher will drop it, Rozen Maiden is probably Peach-Pit's most profitable work and I have heard that this series is one of the few manga that keeps Ultra Jump afloat as it's not a popular magazine.

>> No.4686   [Delete]   [Edit]

So far tank vol 3 is still not showing up on any of the the torrent sites ... so I did a bit of digging to see if it ever even actually came out

... and I found an interesting situation ... Amazon ... the great satan that has just about everything "at their prices" ... does NOT even have it listed
... I could find Amazon listings for vol 3 of the original first story arc ... but not for RM Zero
... I did however find an ebay listing for RM Zero v3 ... with only 2 more copies available out of 3 that they had

all in all that is not a good sign ... that Amazon does not have it ... that makes me suspect that it was only a very small print run ... almost impossible for anyone to find ... which makes me wonder if it will ever make it on to the torrent sites :-(

>> No.4687   [Delete]   [Edit]

It's been available on Amazon JP since its release date, here's a link http://amzn.asia/d/5TT7ZSv
I got a physical copy of Vol 3 through another site which still has stock, so I don't think there's any issue with availability.

>> No.4688   [Delete]   [Edit]

interesting ... I checked out that link and you're right, that's it ... I'm guessing that they did not cross-connect the info about it, so when I did a search for it, that one did not show up as them having it but they had older story arc books

that is good if they are still available ... now ... if someone who has a copy, can just scan it and upload it to one of the torrent sites like nyaa ... that would be a big help to a lot of people

Rozen Maiden 0 is going to end next month.

>> No.4700   [Delete]   [Edit]

........ sigh ........

if that is true, it sounds like too many hiatuses and other bad decisions in how PeachPit has put out this story have doomed it ... I can guess that this particular story has fallen too low in popularity for the magazine to continue carrying it ... unfortunately that means a badly rushed ending :-(

>> No.4701   [Delete]   [Edit]

The signs are absolutely there to suggest that this was a cancellation by the magazine but part of me thinks that maybe Peach-Pit is really this bad that writing endings.
Also, there will be a pinup included with the final chapter next month. I'll purchase a physical copy of the magazine and see about scanning it.

>> No.4702   [Delete]   [Edit]

I'm not so sure that it is PeachPit being bad at endings ... after all, the first two story arcs seemed to have properly thought out endings
... I can agree that for this arc they would have a problem with the ending though ... for the first two arcs the stories were sequential, so the ending of the first arc flowed into the start of the second arc
... the problem for PeachPit is how they backed up the story to before the original first story ... the Taisho era of Japan is 1912-1926, and the problem with any story that involves jumping around in time within the story itself, is you have to be very careful what you do in an earlier time, because it can set up a paradox effect for later parts of the story ... and I kind of suspect that that is part of the problem PeachPit is having, and might be why they keep having the hiatuses, to try to figure out what to do with this arc so that it does not interfere with the stories of the first and second arc ... I think they boxed themselves into a corner they cant get out of ... because in a few scenes in the original arcs it shows scenes of a few of the maidens battling each other (Shinku & Suigintou if I remember correctly) during WW2 in Germany, which is less than 20 years after the end of the Taisho era
... so the problem is how to keep the maidens from doing things in this arc, that would cause logic errors or a paradox in the original arcs

I suspect that PeachPit would have been better off using a much earlier time period, and a setting in Europe, for this story ... that way they could have avoided the problems they seem to be having with this story

Well, there is only one thing upcoming that we know of. There's those Suigintou and Kanaria figures coming out sometime later. Could be possible we'll see more figurines/merch in general in the future.
Hopefully, sometime down the road, we'll get another media venture with Rozen Maiden. Maybe something for the 20th anniversary coming up in a few years. I'm somewhat optimistic but then again we've been joking that this franchise has been cursed for years now.

Raws dealer for Floors 17-24 and contributor to RM0 Project here. anon, shut up. We've been through lulls in the process before with not much happening and these last few chapters will not be any different. Rozen Maiden 0 will eventually have a finished translation regardless of how much you shit talk this scanlation effort and the work numerous people have sunk into it so far. You did this after Pigeon left, you did this after the Russian team left, I'm absolutely tired of it.

I don't know about you, anon, but I've been doing my part rather than sitting back and bitchin' on an old message board about free translations for Japanese comics.

To those more patient (and honestly, thank you for being so) I'll update on what the team is doing. RM0 Project has been looking for a new translator since about the beginning of this year with no success so far. Coupled with life getting a bit busier for some of us, this task got put on hold for a while but we're looking to continue the effort as soon as possible.

>> No.4711   [Delete]   [Edit]

And I thought I was the only one getting tired of anon.

Talking about RAWs takes me back to 2012-2013 (I think) when there were no RAWs online (or at least not immediately), so I bought some Young Jump magazine issues and scanned a few chapters. Good times.

About Rozen Maiden 0: I just wished the setting would have been somewhere in Europe, not Japan, and more about the dolls and less about the humans. Or at least we could have found out more about Rozen and his life. The story was definitely lacking something.

>> No.4713   [Delete]   [Edit]

yeah, anon had said the same thing a while back

>> No.4714   [Delete]   [Edit]

there are some people in here who want to bitch whine and complain about anon, but some of his bitching IS valid
would it actually KILL the scanlator groups for them to post a notice that they are having problems and have stopped working
all too often those groups just poof without letting anyone even know that they have disbanded or have dropped the manga that many of us are looking for

So volume 4 has 3 pages of new content at the end but I don't really have the money to spare right now to rip them out of a copy.

Not RM0Project but someone involved on the project. Honestly, not much has changed since last update (>>4710) but we did find a new translator. RM0 isn't an easy manga to translate (Taishou-era JP and all that) and this is basically our translator's first gig so progress is pretty slow.

I don't update here more often because basically the issue revolves around how bottlenecked the process has been due to the translator role which was already talked about last post, but hopefully in time shouldn't be much of an issue as our new translator grows more used to RM0. Our next update here should hopefully be a release (or rather, releases. Due to a few misnamed files our previous translator translated a few chapters out of order so the next 3 chapters should all release in a short timespan).

If we ever do disband we'll announce it. The group does really want to finish this project though so it's unlikely to happen.
