There's this cool Zelda wiki: http://www21.atwiki.jp/zelda_tp/pages/45.html

The problem is I can't read most of it. Other people have translated bits and pieces, but I can't tell what this says here:

ふしぎの木の実は上記の時系列の組み込まれる(神トラと夢島のリンクと同一人物説)と言われているが公式での見解は不明。

And then there's this sub-categorical thing under that:

開発初期に64DREAM紙上の紹介で神々のトライフォースと同一の時系列と紹介されている。また、ふしぎの木の実のエンディングにリンクが海へ出航するシーンが存在することから夢をみる島への繋がりを匂わせている。

I think it's the wiki's author talking about some sort of magazine called "64DREAM" confirmed where the Oracle or "Mystery Nut" games go in the official series chronology but it's hard to say. Can anyone please translate this for the good of Zelda?

[BUG] セカンドノベルの利用するPrometheusを05指定になっていたので、ACX2指定に修正

[NEW] メニューの表示順序を変更

[NEW] いくつかのゲームは自動でパッチを当てるか、パッチを選択するか選ぶことが出来る様にしました

※UMD ISO MODEのSony NP9660への変更が必要です

>> No.1053   [Delete]   [Edit]

Something like that:

>[BUG] セカンドノベルの利用するPrometheusを05指定になっていたので、ACX2指定に修正

The designation of the Prometheus using the second novel (or whatever they ment by SEKANDO NOBERU) that used to be 05 was fixed to ACX2.

>[NEW] メニューの表示順序を変更

Menu presentation order was revised.

>[NEW] いくつかのゲームは自動でパッチを当てるか、パッチを選択するか選ぶことが出来る様にしました

It was made possible to chose how many games will patch automaticly, as well as to chose patches.

OP here, thanks for helping out. Normally Google could translate most of the part if the poster writes properly however this Japanese guy writes stuffs not even google can translate to a level that make sense.

I can still read out many wrongly transateled because i know what it is and there are still parts that is confusing..

I'm glad we can skip using his annoying patcher in future when newer custom firmware is out. :)

2)
Draw the contours
Draw the characters one after another, you also must draw the hidden parts, because it is recommended in digital painting.
In this step you can sort the size and location of your characters.

↓ this is a situation where one part of a layer is hidden

Haa, I was looking for this to be translated awsell. But I was mainly interested in what step 5 says, and if step 6 is the same as step 5. Anyone willing to help me out with that?

>> No.1047   [Delete]   [Edit]

No one want to translate this fully?
I'm willing to pay $15 or something lol.

>> No.1050   [Delete]   [Edit]

I tried this one a couple of weeks ago for someone. Here it is combined with someone else's version.

Rough sketch
Ignoring distance and spacing has its good points but also creates some difficulties, and I think it's good to draw 2-3 patterns and choose between them.
By the way, if this is going to be a cover, you should consider where to put the title from the start.

Line drawing
Draw the characters separately, it's essential to draw the covered portions too; I suggest doing this digitally. Decide on the characters' sizes and positions at this step.
↓This is how it looks with some of layers hidden.

Separating the characters with an undercoat
The layered line images are hard to see. So for now, let's apply an undercoat and position the layers. Use colors that are distinct from the background, then balance the characters' placement and the overall composition so everything is visible.

May I bother you guys a little? Can anyone make make sense of these kanji? With my luck they're something ridiculous because I can't find them with the usual radical dictionaries and I get laughed at. I love these little comics but I swear, bitch makes up her own kanji all. the. time.

The middle one is twice because the upper radical looks a bit like the one in 艾 but it could be the one in 剪 as well.

It's 茶, 煎 and 酒. I'd say, anyone with a little experience with Chinese characters should be able to read this easily, it's not even the worst handwriting.

How did you manage to be a Nipponese-learning desuchanner and not know 茶? Every third sentence in both Rozen Maiden and 東方 refers to tea in some way.

To be honest I've never really studied japanese or read anything more significant than doujinshi, I understand basic animu japanese (SHIKATANAI) pretty well but I'm fully dependant on denshi jisho when it comes to kanji. And fuck I thought the upper radical in 茶 was 女 or something. The more you know. So, thank you.

Seems like /moonspeak/ is what I need to get my question answered.
Newfag here, I started to watch anime not so long ago (I've finished Rozen Maiden though) and I'm curious about one thing: what does mean "-chan" and "-san" added to names by japanese people (in this case - by anime characters)? And when you use "chan" and when "san"?
Pic unrelated

you're welcome.

>> No.1026   [Delete]   [Edit]

It's a matter of courtesy, basically.
The Nipponese are obsessed with social hierarchies and status, which is reflected in their language. Off the top of my head, I could name you around a dozen Japanese words each for the concepts for which English only uses the words "you" and "I," and I'm not even that good at Japanese. Those words imply different things about the social relation between listener and speaker.
