So how many more damn episodes before we finally get to know who's behind the killings?

God fucking dammit.

But I'm gonna guess that those two people are adult Jessica and a new meta character. He looks relate to Dlanor and co. because of the gold eyes and blue outfit.

Maybe he's the Wright guy mentioned in episode 5's TIPs. (That is if it isn't just a shout out to Phoenix Wright.)

"squeals like little girl"
Could this truly be Wizard hunting Wright coming into play just like I hoped he would?
Not much a fan of his meta outfit, can only hope his magic one is awesome.

  1. Rosa decided to kill off her siblings and their spouses so she would inherit the money. She did so by planting SMALL BOMBS in the candy. She then locked the door of the church and gave the key to Maria.
  2. Kanon saw Rosa kill the spouses, so she decided to kill Kanon to protect herself. But Jessica was with Kanon, so Rosa decided to kill them both.
  3. She then starts killing the furniture that are involved with the inheritance, and then kills Battler and the other kids after they discover what Rosa did.
  4. She tries to escape the island, but discovers she is unable to and ends up killing Maria and Herself.

  1. Nothing is said about small bombs not existing, so its still a possibility. Still, it would be more reasonable to assume that they were drugged then ripped open, since small bombs would go in all directions, rather than just through the front end of the body.
  2. ? Rosa didn't have the chance to kill Jessica and Kanon, she was with Battler and the Cousins, and Gohda. The only people without an alibi for that crime are Shannon, Genji, and Kumasawa (not including dead Kinzo)
  3. Again, she doesn't have the opertunity to kill. She separated herself from the furniture. This is like saying that Eva could have killed Nanjo with Battler running after her, which was denied by red.
  4. Rosa doesn't kill Maria, large bomb does.
>> No.5618   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>5617

>Rosa didn't have the chance to kill Jessica and Kanon, she was with Battler and the Cousins, and Gohda.
  1. Rosa went to the Kinzo's study on her own. We even see a gold butterfly on her at the moment, which can be a hint.
  2. She said that she, Shannon and Genji were talking to Kinzo - obvious lie. They could have killed them during that time.
>> No.5620   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>5618

  1. Ah, I can't believe I missed that. Still, looking at the text of what was discussed, there was maybe 3 to 4 minutes of dialog. Further, Rosa said , and I'm copying from the script "Father was alright, but he was slightly distracted by these sudden events.@ ...Fortunately, he said that he won't leave his room, so he's probably safe.@ Now, we should do all we can to gather in the same place." And that is all that is said about Rosa's time with "Kinzo".

As we know, Kinzo is dead. Further, if Rosa met with Kinzo it means one of two things. Either she was brought into the conspiracy by Genji and or Shannon, or someone was already in Kinzo's study. Since only Genji has the key to Kinzo's room, it can be understood that Genji would not allow Rosa in unless she swore secrecy to him, or something to that effect. This, however, is counterintuitive, as Rosa later does not trust Genji at all. Therefore, what likely happened was Genji walked into Kinzo's study, and acted as a go-between. However, in all honesty, it is NEVER explained where the guns are/how they are gotten. All we know is that Kinzo had them. Heck, he could have had an armory somewhere in the mansion. But, according to ep 5's description of Kinzo's room (A study.@ A book archive.@ A place to sleep.@ And a bathroom and washroom), it makes no mention of a gun cabinent, though it could be argued that it is in the study, the various anime screens do not show it either.

She doesn't have to kill them herself, you know. After all if we assume that she's a mastermind she must have accomplices. And Genji and/or Shannon fit for this role perfectly. They kill everyone while Rosa is "constructing" the closed rooms by faking letters and showing that there are no extra keys to make it look like a witch. In the study they can be preparing that letter (and maybe the final one too) which Rosa later "found" in the servants' room with two keys in it. Two keys are actually could be Genji's/Shannon's and Kanon's - they never used them until the moment Rosa demanded them (Gohda unlocked Jessica's room), and then they just gave her one their and one Kumasawa's key.
For the final twilight, Shannon kills everyone in the locked room and commits suicide, the stake fallen off her head can be hinting (in ep1 stakes were sitting quite firmly) at that the gun was actually used and hidden (see And Then There Were None for a method).
Rosa throw up yet another letter in the parlor.

I can't counter your theory much more, since it overlaps with mine (IE, Shannon is Beatrice, carrying out the murders). The only functional difference between yours and mine is that Shannon is the mastermind in mine, and Rosa in yours.

But, lets say Rosa is the mastermind. Both her and Maria met with Beatrice in the Rose Garden, therefor excluding either of them from being Beatrice. Since Rosa met with Beatrice, Beatrice gave her (through Maria) the key to the chapel and a letter. Therefore Rosa absolutely had nothing to do with the first twilight.

But, as you suggest, the point of contention is the second twilight, where you say Rosa gave the order to kill Kannon/Jessica. This again, must at least be in part false. Whereas Shannon and Genji had over an hour to do whatever they wished (construct closed rooms, kill, set traps, place letters), Rosa still only had five minutes, starting from when Kumasawa woke up and when she returned from "meeting Kinzo". Now, which makes more sense, Genji and Shannon taking there time to murder Jessica and Kannon, or waiting roughly a half an hour and stumbling upon Rosa (since Rosa could not have made it to Kinzo's room in 5 minutes). Therefor, only Shannon and Genji could have killed Jessica and Knnon, but more importantly, they did it on their own. Any scheming would have had to been already done, and any changes would have to come from them.

I have been thinking for a while

I believe that the anime does not fail completly

thats it if we dont count the Part they didnt animate and the shitty animation...

I think that they made the anime for those that like resumed versions

what do you think?

It had its moments. The first chapter I believe was done very well. But the ending was just bad and almost everyone, I believe, thinks so too, those who have and have not played the game.

>> No.5481   [Delete]   [Edit]

yeah i think that if they didnt screw the ending
at least the anime could have been fukken saved

>> No.5484   [Delete]   [Edit]

I honestly don't get why everyone hates umineko. I mean, I agree that the fights were awful compared to the anime (Virgilia vs. Beato looked pretty cool the firt time I saw it. I hadn't played the visual novel by then, though)

And what' the shit about "if making chiru, they would have to re-animate the first season" people are blabbering about. I can't recall anything significant to the story that was excluded in the anime.

Only thing that does bother me, is that you don't really get to know many characters.

Still, I liked the anime. It has loads of flaws, but it did many things right too.
I guess I am just really used to adaption decay, so I don't notice it as much as many people do, or something.

I am playing through Higurashi now, and what they excluded there bothers me just as much as the stuff excluded from Umineko.
Tsumihoroboshi chapter was an awful, AWFUL adaption by DEEN, and Maekashi wasn't much better.

Thing is, at first everyone just started criticizing minimum tidbits no matter how faint they are, ''cause everyone's doing it therefore I am cool if I do it as well'. Eg: Kinzo himself being a dragon instead of his cloak was skullfucked instead of thinking of the possibility that it might have been some kind of a little self-imposement interpretation from the VN itself rather than a retarded mistake.

That being said, the anime had quite some flaws (mostly in vital parts of the story and animation).

I'm still angry at the lack of Krauss vs Goat.

For the lack of wanting to read an entire series to find out..

.. How does the original differ?

I really liked the first season but the second for me was just meh.

Okay LETS PRETEND ( Yes its fake) THAT THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS REAL:

Higurashi no naku koro ni will be remaked for 2011

it will be animated by ( Insert the name of the Studio of your preference except Deen)

and it will have a total 0f 52 episodes for the first season

the Second season Will be realease 1 month after the first one ends and it will have 52 episodes too...

Unlike the First adaptation Matsuribayashi will not be animated . Miotsukushi-hen will take its place

in other news (insert studio name of your preference) have announced that they will animate the second season of Umineko no naku koro ni.

>> No.5457   [Delete]   [Edit]

I reject your long series and propose a series of movies instead! High production values with zero CG.

My preference for a studio would be Madhouse.

Hi Nipah I have a Question about Mangagamer?
does the releases of Higurashi are realeased
once a Month? or Once two Months?

In exchange i give you a Cute Mion

>> No.5395   [Delete]   [Edit]

I think it's once a month.

>> No.5397   [Delete]   [Edit]

Oh really? Thats weird because Mangagamer havent announced Minagoroshi

>> No.5464   [Delete]   [Edit]

They are supposed to release once a month, but in reality, it's once every 3d month or something. Maekashi released in end end of january, and Tsumihoroboshi in the middle of April. So, we'll see.
