Hello good citizens of /o/
I need your help. Desuchan has been lacking in new posters these days, and i have an idea.
We need to join in on some nico nico douga memes and get some people wondering what is desu and lead them here.
I have some skill with flash, but sadly i suck at drawing completly, so me redoing all the frames out of something is near impossible, so i need your help /o/. I should be able to find a way to get every frame from various memes we should really make Suiseiseki or other maiden versions of, but i need some of you fine fellow to draw it. Are any of you up to it?

Sorry for the late reply. fukkireta seems like an easy start. Afterwards, I can do Buri Hamachi.

(forgot to add my name to my other post)

>> No.2154   [Delete]   [Edit]

Hey /o/ I decided to come here because you seem more friendly than 4chan at least. Anyways, I was wondering if you could help me with any advice or somesuch with taking my drawing to the next level.

Where I'm stuck at the moment is creating the basic skeleton of a body, I'm terrible at proper proportioning seems to be the problem, different bits of bodies always end up at different scales.

Included picture is a sketch I did working off of a basic skeleton I traced from a screenshot of a movie or show or something. Any other tips and pointers are welcome.

loomis lol

You need to practice fundamentals. Go to a site like posemaniacs and do 30 second poses, do this often and your anatomy skills will improve greatly.

Also your lines are hairy and gross, try make long confident strokes.

  1. Go to pixiv.net.
  2. Find an artist you like.
  3. Observe and copy his illustrations.
  4. Repeat.

Protip: Do not trace.

Hamuleen is nearly upon us! Who wants to volunteer for each maiden's Hamuleen art? Also, we need suggestions for cosplays.
For those not familiar with this tradition, every Halloween we have an artist event where each Rozen Maiden is drawn in a cosplay/costume voted on by the rest of the users.

It's best to head over to #desuchan and PM me as an alternative. (I'm using mIRC nowadays, so I tend to leave out a couple of channels when I join from startup cos I'm a bit lazy.)

>> No.2150   [Delete]   [Edit]

If i spot ya on there we can chat as well.
Wingless happens to be in singapore so he is pretty much only talking late at night.

Also i MUST see Schrodinger Jum

And a question, grown out hair, wig, or same hair?

I guess I come on #desuchan at bad times.. Well, I'm willing to draw Jun & Shinku for you guys, so.. if that's fine with you, it's a plan. :>

>> No.2156   [Delete]   [Edit]

I saw you for a couple of minutes a while back and then you went up and left. I wouldn't mind putting you up to draw Jun and Shinku; I'd be delighted to put you up to that straightaway.

>> No.2164   [Delete]   [Edit]

I'm totally up to drawing them then. :D Though my main problem is that I might not be able to get the pics up by Christmas, but after that I'm going out of town.. I'll try my hardest to have the pics done though.

Greetings fellow drawfriends. As you all may know, Hamuleen is coming up in a few months, and as such, your assistance would be needed to make this event smoothly.

To ensure this, I have decided to start the artist sign-ups a while before nominations begin, so I know beforehand how many artists we will have for this year's event.

Here's what you need to know before signing up:

  1. A degree of art standard is to be expected. Don't worry, we won't expect you to draw the fucking Mona Lisa or something, but you should at least put more effort into the work for it to qualify as art rather than just a simple doodle.
  2. Try to sign up only if you're SURE you want to participate. The last thing that is needed is someone who signs up as an artist for this event and then ends up drawing nothing at all when the final costumes have been picked.
  3. Keep in touch with me in case something unexpected happens that may prevent you from drawing some or all of the costumes that you've signed up for drawing, it would help us greatly in arranging for another artist to do the others before the deadline.
  4. You will have the power to veto a finalist that you feel that you cannot do justice. Be reasonable, however. Only veto outfits that you can't do draw correctly, not outfits that you don't want to draw.
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
