We need shock-site signage for political rallies. I think it's time that we let these idiot old people, and internet illiterates, and ignorant newscasters, know that we will not deal with them gently.

It is time to create good looking placards to get on the news, and have those placards link to horrible, terrible shock sites. It is not hard to get on television if your sign looks good because most people just rip out a Sharpie and a highlighter and scrawl unreadable script on posterboard. Here are some sign ideas:

1) "Corrupt Nancy Pelosi needs a dunk in the Tub -- Visit Tubgirl.me"
2) Picture of Democrat/Republican heads on snake/eel bodies -- "Visit EelSoup.net"
3) "We need to get rid of the Clowns in Washington -- Visit ClownSong.com"
4) "The people need the Will Power to tell the government NO! -- TheWillPower.Org"
5) A picture of Obama holding a jar with the planet in it "Tell Obama he doesn't own us! -- Visit 1man1jar.org"
6) "Did you know that US Tax Dollars get sent to Japan? -- Visit PhoneJapan.com"
7) "The Democrats are a bunch of Sour LEMONS!!! -- Visit LemonParty.org"
8) "It's time the people stand up and crack the whip. The government works for the people!!!! -- WhipCrack.org"

So, I've been toying around a bit with this idea a bit, and my re-watching of Ren and Stimpy has pretty much made me make a decision.

I'd like to make a full, 30-minute cartoon in flash. Detailed, frame-by-frame animation, a vintage classical soundtrack, original gags and that weird, nonsense humor that never gets old. If I get a response for help on this, I'll probably pull some good characters out of my ass within 30-minutes of reading the post.

Offers for help, suggestions and feedback are welcome!

(and no, I'm not giving up on this, ever. I wanna see how good a cartoon I can make, and I'm going to try my damned hardest. I've good a good history in flash, and I'm sure I can handle this. Just one episode. If it's successful, maybe more.)

I admire your will to try this, making cartoons is not easy, but i'm pretty sure it must be very satisfacting.
I don't know how i could help, but i'm curious, what was your idea? Like a small cartoon movie, or more like a "fake first episode" of some kind?

>> No.829   [Delete]   [Edit]

I'm not so opposed to this idea. As long as we're talking about the old Ren & Stimpy. Not the pound-stimpy's-ass-with-a-handsaw shit Spike aired.

Might want to start with something short like a few 5 min pilot episodes or one 15 min. And then go from there.

>> No.754   [Delete]   [Edit]

If you don't mind me asking, how are making them?

>> No.755   [Delete]   [Edit]

In 3d design II class
First we get some metal, we then put a piece of paper of whatever we want to make on the piece of metal with glue, then we saw out the piece, then we either sand it down, or if there are multiple pieces we weld them together, then we sand until the piece is nice shiny and smooth

after lots of time searching on google, with no avail, i have not found any RM inspired windom xp pilots, so i decided to take the matter into my own hands. i got bored one day so I slapped this together, some sounds, especially the pain sounds are of terrible quality, but they are directly from the anime, and in english, and there is an alternate image for the face image, just in case you prefer one over the other... so yeah... enjoy
also, if someone also worked on pilots, post here, i hope im not alone desuchan.

I find myself in possession of a small (about thumbsize), level-adjustable gas tank, and a spark igniter. Basically, I want to build something with a pint-size pyrotechnics display built in. Current ideas are A: abstract flamey thing built from whatever scraps I have around, not too interesting tbh, B: finding a suitable model of a dragon & getting mythological with it, C: a four element Zen Garden, obviously with a fire feature, or D: a box with a flaming pentacle sat atop it. Maybe a small moving Rube Goldberg steampunk model, but that implies a lot more faffing with very fiddly mechanisms, awesome as that would be.

I think the Garden is taking my preference at the moment, but I'm asking for input as I only have one set of pyro kit... so don't want to regret the deployment later when a better idea occurs. I'm very good with small workings & details, have a decent toolkit, a high-power rotary tool and loads of attachments to do all sorts with metal/wood/plastic/stone etc, and I can bodge for England. Only limitation is I'll probably only do projects that would use a yellow flame ... Bunsen is too hot for safety at these scales.

hmmmm, I think finishing mangos would be best.

Right, garden it is. And no it won't grow mangos.

Basically the idea is a stream/fountain system with ponds and wotnot, dividing the microgarden into areas. The fire feature will sit in a pond opposite the water fountain, allowing for reflections... will look something like 4/5 candle flames on a rock pile. One part will be mostly mosses, another a tiny sand garden, another will probably centre around a small fern, etc.

Interestingly this kind of thing isn't uncommon in Japan, a lot of the plants I'm looking at (including the brilliantly named Yuri Hime) are Japanese. I'm not really a fan of bonsai, although I realise it's pretty much perfect for what I'd need. I may re-evaluate the idea as time goes on.

Anyway, ideas for features/plants etc now being taken. I've not yet found a suitable small climber, I'd be especially interested in ideas for such. I've already found micro lily pads, mosses are an excellent substitute for a large range of plants, and a large list of candidates for larger options.

Pic semi related, it's a Japanese Zen moss garden.
