I thought I'd ask here.

an ancient cure-all thing might be right. think I'll try that answer.

it's been confirmed that munkustrap was in fact completely correct. it is an early ECT device and of course complete nonsense.
some still believe in it however, just like they still believe in homeopathic bullshit.

I know Waha is dead and nobody else cares about this thing but I for one like it
For the new ones Waha was one of the very first memes made back in 2002

So the request is that someone post a megaupload of a lot of Waha pics
If you can put in your post the number of pictures in the pack
Actual art of Suzuran is welcome but mostly I want Waha meme pics

I used to think 4chan was a crazy game like WoW but with weird characters and such

Waha was a lazy fanart of Suzuran on futaba,
people started making fun of it, 4chan borrowed, and it became a meme

>> No.3165   [Delete]   [Edit]

Yes, borrowed memes from 2chan like Waha were back in the days when /b/tards were all Japanophiles and no one was opposed to that.

>> No.3169   [Delete]   [Edit]

actually, somewhat related.

does anyone have a Copy of Suigetsu? As in the VN where Yamato Suzuran is part of.

anyone can recommend me a good program to crack rar passwords? every torrent I find about it is just riddled with viruses

>> No.3304   [Delete]   [Edit]

this makes me want to try and code one myself.
if you cleverly use all cores it should be possible in a more reasonable timeframe. someone really smart could even use cuda tech.

but I don't really care that much I guess.

>> No.3376   [Delete]   [Edit]

I don't mean to intervene or be 'rude' but what you are saying here is completely false. I am fairly knowledgeable in programming and a lot of my compadres code for a living. I used to own a brute force cracker and the method it uses is more than capable of cracking a password that is "3 letters long". Some of these applications punch in, dependant on your system settings / app settings, close to a million entries per tick and I am fairly certain it starts with simple algorithms e.g. cat 1cat 2cat 3cat cat1 cat2 cat3 etc and it will, granted slowly, work through a dictionary and then start creating words from random letter arrangements. The part about it taking a while is true though, but calling these programmes worthless is complete bs. You sir clearly are talking smack.

By the way, there are legit cracked crackers around you just have to look harder. I know because I used one on my old system.

>> No.3386   [Delete]   [Edit]

No it's not false. I tried one of these cracker programs some time ago. You need to reread what I said peabrain! I didn't say they couldn't crack a 3 letter password. What I said is, "they're worthless unless the password is really really simple like only 3 letters long." Beyond that they're all but useless. One thing I didn't mention is that they require dictionary files that you have to download which means you need to register your copy of the program to get them. The basic programs don't come with all you need. Mine didn't. And if the password is in a foreign language, which can easily be the case, then you need the foreign dictionary files to have any chance to crack that pass. But the dictionary files are only of use if the password would be found in them. If the pass is random letters, characters, and/or numbers then they're useless. Then you have to try the brute force method of attack which can take months of continuous running. The more letters, characters, and/or numbers in the password, the longer it takes. I had to try the brute force method and the program said the estimated time for cracking the pass I wanted cracked would be 4 months, and that's with the program running continuous. Yeah, I and everyone else will wait that long or longer....NOT! So unless the pass is very very simple like a 3 letter word (as I said) or you want to wait several months then yes, they're useless in my experience. And that ain't no BS! Go see for yourself.

guys, let's keep it civil.
arguing on the internet never proved anything, and it's forbidden on desuchan.
Thanks, and enjoy your dolljoints.

>> No.3411   [Delete]   [Edit]

There is one that I used several times, it is legit shareware without time limit for the evaluation.

EDIT: Ooops... I forgot that I had a cracked registered version of it from somewhere, unfortunately I don't remember from where... The trial is unlimited, but pretty useless, since it indeed cannot even attempt to solve bigger passwords.

((mind you, it can only bruteforce, which causes all the aforementioned problems. Still, it can be useful for cracking simple passwords. Sometimes you can get lucky, tell it that there is "www." at the beginning and ".com .net .whatever" at the end, and you can get lucky even with .rars that you don't even know from where they came.)) - this is pretty much useless without a registered version.
