This is some of the things I do and use to make Firefox more usable, faster, and possibly safer. If anyone has other suggestions let me know.

In about:config
------------------------TABS----------------------------
browser.tabs.closeButtons; 2
(Removes X in tabs. Use center mouse button or two fingers on touch pad instead.)

browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent; FALSE
(All new tabs open on the far right as previous versions.)

browser.tabs.maxOpenBeforeWarn; 3
(Prevent folders full of Bookmarks from flooding the tabbar by accident.)

-------------------------Misc---------------------------
browser.urlbar.doubleClickSelectsAll; true

So, i need an audio production program. Something simple like cakewalk, but not MIDI. Something with a real/better sounding sample library.

I tried Reason 5 but i need like 3 months of intimate sessions to learn how to use it.

If it's free, groovy, don't have to worry about the legalities of a license; but, pirating is cool, too.

Picture is, well, i dunno picked one a random

In the near future
1) Apple's new OS to be based on Objective-C and follows Microsoft's dev path of researching new programming languages
2) Microsoft's new XBox to go away with a POWER-based CPU

>> No.2212   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>2210
I don't know if you were being facetious, but both of those are already here. OS X is built almost completely on Objective-C and the 360 has always used a PowerPC (to my knowledge). I'm not sure if Apple is researching new languages, though, I'm not really up on my Apple news.

I realize that this is most likely a stupid question and that I probably already know the answer but would like to ask anyway. Let's say that I put a file into the recycle bin than empty said bin later, rendering file gone. Might that file still be deep in the comp's nether regions SOMEWHERE? Or did I delete it into oblivion?

>> No.2195   [Delete]   [Edit]

You can probably recover it, try using recuva.

>> No.2196   [Delete]   [Edit]

It's still there. But it has been marked so that it can be over written with new data and untill it has been over written with a new file you made or downloaded it could be restored.

No SSD?

OP most really need the whole 1TB worth of space to not want a SSD.

Then again, they could always ditch the notion of it being external and get one of these:

You'd be playing the FPS equivalent of RISK in terms of time taking to build up a frame.
