You'd be playing the FPS equivalent of RISK in terms of time taking to build up a frame.

please help me /tech/, before i lose patience and roundhouse kick my computer out the window.

lately my computer fucks up the internet connection setting, sending the gateway config into oblivion. i don't know what's causing it exactly, but it happens more often when i have more programs open that use internet connections. i had it before with win7 32bit sometimes, but it didn't bothered me much back then. now with win7 64bit it can happen like every 15 minutes, at an average every 45 minutes schedule.

If they are the same height make a coffee table.

edit: also i guess you could use them as a snes, sega genesis, etc emulator, or just keep 98 on it and use it to play old dos games.

OK /tech/, how do I:

  1. rip everything from video DVD to my pc (audio, video, subs, just everything what goes with the film on DVD),
  2. add my own subtitles (I mean subs downloaded form internet in my own language) to ripped movie (also convert them to the format that would work with DVD if needed),
  3. make subs added this way working so I could choose them while watching the movie on TV, best if I could add my language to this fancy menu in the begining of the DVD,
  4. record everything to the new DVD

and that all with the single program (or two)? In other words: how to do this all the simplest way so I don't have to download shitload of programs? I just want to avoid doing every little thing using various programs, because it could mean that I need to download many of them.
Pic unrelated.

If you got the HDD space.. just rip it as an ISO. That's the laziest way.

>> No.2126   [Delete]   [Edit]

This. You could use DVD decrytper to rip the ISO, meddle with it's contents, and burn it to another disc. It really is the best solution. You'd need another program to convert the subs from .ass to .srt files though.

>> No.2169   [Delete]   [Edit]

Probably should upgrade to blue-ray ripping...

Oh yes, and if you get a flash cart (R4, Cyclos DS Evolution, etc.), you can do all sorts of stuff with the DS. Use it as a full media player, load custom programs, play pirated DS games, you can do basically everything. However, these carts are only available online

once i get it i will certainly look into the games you mentioned. and one of those media cards will be a must have.

>pirated DS games

O.o this is something i was not aware of. Know if there is any fan translated dating sim games around? like maybe love+?

Love+ is roughly estimated about half translated yet, dunno if they released a patch yet.

>> No.2153   [Delete]   [Edit]

Regarding the flash carts, if you're going to get a DS light, get an Acekard 2i; they seem to be the most up-to-date ones around and I've got one myself, can't complain.

Did anyone here happen to use KidPix as a kid,or in school? I did, and I've been looking high and low for a good, free download of the ORIGINAL. Not version 3.0 or whatever. Like the first one.

Has anyone ever found a good download? If so could you post a link or a zip or something? Here's some Kirape for your trouble.

>> No.1419   [Delete]   [Edit]

KidPix? That brings back memories. I remember the teacher banning us from using it because we would take the warp tool to the picture of the baby that it shipped with.

Good times.

Yes I did; in fact, I till have my old Kidpix CD. I don't even know if it will still work on my Windows 7 notebook, but I can try and make an ISO of it for you if you want (I don't think it's the most recent version)

Drove down to the US to catch a flight with my friend in his car. We were stopped at the border and brought in for questioning (he was questioned, I waited.) When he came out from being questioned, he informed me that the FBI had tipped off the border guards about pedobear and his 9000 anon penises raping lolis and shit like that. Turns out my friend has a pedobear sticker on his back side window and the border guard had spotted it. While we were in the station for questioning, his car was searched, as per their procedure.

An hour or so later, we were freaking out because our flight was in 60 minutes and the airport was a 20 to 30 min drive away. Bombing down the I5 highway, we made it to the airport, went inside, and discovered the flight desk to check-in was CLOSED. After freaking out for 10 minute, another flight desk person from Alaska Air managed to find a staff person for our flight (not Alaska, another airline), and we got our tickets and rushed over to security. At security, we opened up our bags to allow them to scan our laptops separately, and low and behold my laptop is missing - my friend's laptop is present and accounted for. Pretty upset, I know we need to board our flight as it leaves in 10 minutes, so we rushed to the plane and I immediately txted home to see if maybe I had left my laptop at home (which I was 99% sure I hadn't, because I distinctly remember packing it in my backpack that I purchased a week earlier special to hold a laptop!). My home was searched by my family, and the laptop was not there, so my friend and I thought maybe it was moved by the border guards in his car, and in the back seat or something.

Few days later we arrive back, we check his car, the laptop is not there. At this point I was pretty sure my original thought of "the border guards took it, those stealing fuck faces!" was the most likely cause of where my laptop was.

Which airport did you go to? 99% of the time you won't be able to board your flight unless you're been in the waiting lounge area/past security for AT LEAST 30 minutes o.o

so I'm trying to get a media station to recognize shared files on my pc and I just cannot get windows 7 to share them in a way this machine gets it.
I've been succesful in getting this to work with vista but win7 seems to be a bit too well secured or something. or the media station is too old. (it's manual doesn't mention win7, only xp and vista)

anyone have a tip like some setting I should try changing to whatever?

>> No.2118   [Delete]   [Edit]

so it turns out my firewall was blocking filesharing over lan. for some reason I didn't think it'd do that, and it didn't in earlier versions/configurations I believe.
