At this point, if a thread is still listed in the Index, it's still there. Threads that won't bump anymore still have plenty of good content. I might lock them at some point, but they're not going to get deleted.

As for whether or not a pic has previously been posted....well, Desuchan only checks by the filename, and only in the thread you're posting it in. But really, if it's only one pic, it's no big deal.

I'll admit, I don't really know much about scripts (besides the kind that contain character dialogue), and I'm pretty sure that even if I did, only admins can make those kinds of changes. I'm just a moderator. You might bring that sort of thing up in /sugg/ or perhaps in the #traps IRC channel; we have a handful of resident eggheads that may be able to give you more complete info.

The Index is updated manually; I check at least once a day for threads that have a proper rhyme and reason to them as well as some actual content within. If anyone sees any thread that should be in the Index but isn't, drop a message in the Index thread with a link to the thread you want to see in there, and I'll check it out.

I've amended the first post in this thread with some information on certain file hosting sites being blocked. At least one person has had trouble with that recently, excluding myself, so I figured I'd get to the bottom of it.

It's kind of a shame about banning 3D since some real life traps are incredibly gorgeous but a lot of the material in that thread was spotty. The vast majority of 3D trap porn is honestly pretty awful and it does seem to attract a rather uncomfortable kind of attention. I've seen some creepy people come out of the woodwork on imageboards dedicated to 3D traps so I can't say I'm upset to see it go. Overall this is where I come for 2D and that's this place's strength and interest so fuck that noise and let's just agree to fap.

The real problem is that if we start making exceptions for anyone at all, people will start asking for other exceptions and whining when said other exceptions don't get made, and I don't particularly care for that scenario. It would just muddy the waters.

If Desuchanners just wanna post their own pics, there's a thread in /ot/ for that somewhere (pretty sure said thread's gotta stay SFW though, but I'm not 100% sure).

In addition, 3D trap content is okay in the #traps IRC channel, since it's under (mostly) different leadership. I'm an admin in the channel (the second banana, really), but all the other admins/ops (including the top banana) aren't admins/mods on Desuchan. 24 hour notice: I'm gonna give /tr/ a good scrubbing at some point tomorrow night, once 24 hours have passed from the time of this post. I'm going to start with the oldest threads first and work my way forward. My goal is to get us down to around 40 pages or so (although the goal last time was 50, so that would be good enough if I run out of things that aren't worth keeping around).

Be sure to save anything you want before then (just in case), especially from threads that aren't in the Index or from threads that have very little content in them.

Cleanup finally done. I actually started back on the Sunday night, but compy tsun'd out, causing BSODs left and right. Then, I proceeded to freak right out and mess up all the things before figuring out that all I needed to do to prevent the constant BSODs is disable the graphics card in the Device Manager (turns out it was the graphics card that had died). Way too used to having a guy around to fix these sorts of problems...oh well. I got one guy to recommend me a new graphics card, and I'll have another one order it for me!

First log into e-hentai.org.

Indexed threads and threads with lots of content are generally safe, whereas threads with off-topic crap, drama, duplicate threads, threads that lack much of any content etc. get wiped.

Soooo....you've got a little over a week to grab whatever you wanna for sure hang on to. When it doubt, save it just in case.

Bestiality refers to sexual images depicting animals. There is also a global "no furry" rule on Desuchan, so keep that in mind. Catboys are fine (I think there's an existing thread somewhere). Regarding the Pokemon bit, I don't think there'd be a problem with like, trap Gardevoirs (a.k.a. the best kind).

I'm more lax when it comes to characters that crossdress. There are a lot of characters that don't look like girls (they don't look incredibly manly either, just like average guys) when they're sporting their normal look, but make good traps with a girly outfit and sometimes a wig, although the show's art style often plays into this. Examples: Furuichi (pic related) from Beelzebub, Akihisa from Baka Test, Mako-chan, Sasuke from Sket Dance, and Raichi from Aikatsu!.

On the flip side, you've got characters like Hideyoshi, Hastur, Nagisa, and the big collection of traps in Inazuma Eleven that don't (canonically) crossdress all the time or at all, but nonetheless look like girls.

It's all about discretion, it's all about having ENOUGH femininity, not necessarily one type or the other. But shotas (and older guys, obviously) who neither look nor dress like girls have no place here unless they're having their way with a trap.

Ok thank you very much. Now to clarify what I ment. I had posted a request earlier this week asking Nogu to work his or her magic on a picture. I placed the word "Sage" in the link section so it wouldn't bump the thread to page one as per instructions and it went off without a hitch. Now everytime I've come to the site since that day and looked in on the threads and noticed the word "sage" in the Link section. Now then for my question. When I made my post earlier today the word "Sage" was in the link section and I hit "submit". That's when I saw my picture on the front page and I thought, "Oh shit I broke the rules. So I deleted my post and went to ask the question. My question here is if the word "Sage" is listed in the link section from a previous post earlier in the week would it still be valid so to speak for my follow up post earlier or would I have to re-type the word "Sage" in each of my follow-up posts?
