What? The moving platforms were in the game still. But yeah, the energy ball removal was kinda sad, but I do believe the laser beams kinda made up for that loss.

And yeah, the devs kinda made it a bit too obvious where you were supposed to put your portals.

actually, i already looked into the .vpk's and found Chell's, Atlas' and P-Body's modelfiles. they have a shitload of animation files etc. it probably will take some time to get custom models to work. even L4D(2) models aren't taht perfect yet.

every line is gold in my book
ending so damn over the top I had my :O face 15 minutes afterwards
plus, coop campaign was a challenge for my friend and me :)

Several sound effects in halo, including blast doors opening and closing, some keypad soundeffects, and especially the blaring sirens on the pillar of autumn.
I have heard these sound effects in many other games and movies, and typically recognize them right away

First, The sirens in 007: Golden Eye. Second, the howls of head crabed people in halflife 2.

I forgot about this one, and it ranks above the halo sound effects... just about any sound effect you hear in hyrule field or lake hyrule in ocarina of time. Mostly lake hylia, especially the sounds of water, and the cawing of crows.

I've taken it. It's just taking me a while to get through it. I plan on expanding our metal production with the next wave of migrants, and if they're big enough, appoint some new miners and soldiers.

Arrighty. Best way IMO to train miners is to turn off mining for the experienced ones, and let newbs excavate some large sand/soil areas that can be used for underground tree farms when you breach the caverns.
Of course, miners with steel picks and armor can make pretty decent soldiers, too.

Bad news gentlemen. It is 17th of Timber, Late Autumn, 414 and we've been raided by goblins! They ambushed above the fishing/water area and killed 2 dwarves, a fishery worker and an animal dissector. I'm proceeding to lock up the rest of the civilian population in the grand hall while the military doesn't do jack shit because they won't turn into soldiers after I told them to defend the fucking burrow I've defined. More developments on this later.

Our military finally manned up and did battle against the vile Goblins, in the end it was a Dwarven victory! But not without a cost...

We lost a number of Dwarves to the surprise attack, including a mason, a wood burner, and an animal dissector. On top of this we have a few injured military dwarves and many hurt civilians. Right now my efforts focus on treating the wounded with our very limited supplies in the unstocked hospital. (As to why no one's stocking the hospital, I have no idea.)

Winter is upon Demoneggs and the brook has dried up, making efforts to treat the hospital patients more difficult.

I traded with the human caravan that appeared just before the raid and gave up some crafts for some cloth. (They didn't have anything useful, really.)

I'm gonna try to use the water wheel to make a temporary well, but first I need a chain, so I'm making some. Same goes for traction benches.

Started using Wrye Bash with BOSS, it's bloody brilliant! Should be finsihed downloading and modding later tonight :D

Shivering Isles and Unofficial patch is a must-have, even if you don't plan to play them.
